What ages are Book Buddies suitable for?
 Book Buddies are recommended for ages 0–8 years.
Are Book Buddies safe for babies?
Yes! For children 4 and under, every Book Buddy is made with embroidered eyes and no small parts, making them safe for babies and toddlers. Please note: they are still not for unsupervised play.
How big are Book Buddies?
Sizes vary! Each Book Buddy subscription is designed to deliver the same value each month. Some crochet items may be smaller because they require more skill and detail, and some books may have higher retail prices. Every box is thoughtfully curated to ensure equal value.
Are Book Buddies machine washable?
Each Buddy can be surface washed with mild soap and water. We recommend air drying to keep them soft and cozy.
How do I manage my subscription?
You can pause, skip, or cancel anytime by logging into your account or emailing us—we’ll make it easy!
Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! During checkout, please enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address. You can also leave a note letting us know it’s a gift and share any special message you’d like included in the first shipment.
When will my subscription box ship?
Boxes ship between the 8th and 10th of each month.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
 If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we can update the address by login into the customer portal and updating your shipping address,
What if my Book Buddy arrives damaged?
Contact us within 7 days with a photo and description, and we’ll happily replace it.
Do you ship internationally?
 Currently, we ship within the U.S. only, but we hope to offer international shipping in the future.
What if I’m ordering for more than one child?
If you’re ordering one box for multiple children, we recommend choosing the youngest age range appropriate and selecting gender-neutral items if you have both boys and girls. You can encourage older children to help read to the younger ones.Â
 Can I add extra crochet items to my box?
Currently, we don’t offer the option to add extra crochet items, but we’d love to hear from you if that’s something you’d be interested in for the future!
What is your return policy?
- Because each Book Buddy is handmade, we do not accept returns unless your item is defective or damaged during shipping.
- If a Buddy arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days with a photo and description. We’ll happily replace it.
- Exchanges for a different product are not available.
When will I be billed?
Your subscription will be auto billed each month on the same day that you signed up for the box.
What if I want a specific book buddy made?
You cannot choose a specific Book Buddy for the subscription boxes. However, you can use our custom request form to order a specially hand-crocheted Book Buddy made just for you.
Can I order just one book buddy?
Yes! Under our shop page there is an option to order from a selection of book buddies that are made to order.
